Our Story - (a long read, but worth it!)

During Covid, when owner-operator Kelly lost her regular work, she taught herself resin craft as she wanted to express her creativity and pass the time during those long days of Lockdown.

Kelly began making costume jewellery for friends at first, but then decided to make herself a special memento using her Dad Phil's cremation ashes - he was her best friend who sadly passed away suddenly in 2015. After posting pictures of the finished item on social media, friends and family began asking if she could make them some items too, and Keepsake Ashes was born (now Celestial Keepsakes).

Sadly once life returned to normal, Keepsake Ashes fell by the wayside due to the returning and increasing demands of everyday life, until in March 2024, Kelly made a decision to pluck up the courage to go for it and turn this passion into a business that would touch the lives of many.

At the end of 2024, Kelly decided to rename the business Celestial Keepsakes, due to some feeling the previous name was a little too niched.. What will 2025 hold?.. Well, she's already scheming and planning new products to be launched!

Our Craft

Our memorial items can be made with inclusions such as cremation ashes, human hair, pet fur or claws, sand or small shells from a favourite beach, small dried flowers and more! Each item is meticulously crafted to ensure that it not only looks beautiful but also serves as a heartfelt remembrance.

Our Mission

As a Neurodivergent mum of a Neurodivergent son (that's a double dose of Au-dhd!), owner-operator Kelly understands the importance of building a business that accommodates both disabilities and family time. This personal journey has shaped Celestial Keepsakes into a business that values flexibility, inclusivity, diversity, acceptance and the ability to create heartfelt connections through her handcrafted art.
